Jim Rawson, a former Glenelg footballer, and an avid fan of sports himself, was the father to Anna. Anna admitted that the only reason why she took up golf was in order to be closer to her father and brother after her mother passed away, but she later realized that it was a sport she loved (and the adorable golfers were a bonus!). Anna took up golf in order to deal with grief after her mother died. Her game improved and soon was able to transform her pastime into the full-time job of her choice. It was a dream that came true! Rawson went to St. Martin Boarding School and later completed her education by the homeschooling method. Anna says that she chose her college based upon her gut instinct than rationality. In the wake of receiving invitations from top colleges like Yale and Harvard, Anna was accepted at Immanuel College located in Southern Australia which has a mild climate and the weather less severe.
